1 michael brown is professor of Humanities and Hebrew at York University where he directed the Centre for Jewish Studies from 1995 to 2001. His most recent book, Jews and Judaism in Canada: A Bibliography of Works Published Since 1965 (1999-2000), was written and compiled in collaboration with Richard Menkis, Benjamin Schlesinger, and Stuart Schoenfeld.

2 jay m. eidelman is Museum Historian at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York City. Among the exhibitions he has curated are: "France Divided: Impassioned Responses to the Dreyfus Scandal" and "Yiddish on Stage: Posters and Artifacts from the World of Yiddish Theatre" (with Ellen Smith). He has taught at Hobart and William Smith College.

3 daniel j. elazar was professor of Political Science at Bar-Ilan and Temple Universities and a consultant to governments. He was the founding president of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and pioneered the new field of Jewish Political Studies. His many books include Maintaining Consensus: The Canadian Jewish Polity in the Postwar World (1990), written with Harold Waller.

4 ira robinson is professor of Judaic Studies at Concordia University in Montreal. He is a former president of the Association for Canadian Jewish Studies and has written extensively about Canadian Jewry, including the book, Renewing Our Days: Montreal Jews in the Twentieth Century (1995), written with Mervin Butovsky.

5 lorraine e. weinrib is a professor of Law and Political Science at the University of Toronto. She has taught and published in the United States, Israel, and South Africa. Her interests include Canadian constitutional law and politics, as well as the protection of human rights at the national and international levels in the aftermath of the Holocaust.
