Transferts culturels | Cultural Transfers

Edited by Walter Moser, Daniel Castillo-Durante and Hans-Jürgen Lüsebrink

The Cultural Transfers series is an observatory of contemporary culture. It explores the mutations of those cultural trends that are increasingly influenced by the dynamics of globalization. In order to account for the changes and upheavals resulting from the impact of the new knowledge economy, the increasing importance of new information technologies, and market dynamics, an interdisciplinary approach—with transfer as its keystone—is necessary. As a trigger of mobility and transformation, transfer is the common process connecting various approaches. Whether artefacts, performances, artist archives, literary texts, architectural spaces, languages, media, the impact of migratory flow, or the dissemination of the very concepts and theoretical paradigms that allow us to address the phenomena that affect us, the transfer process is always at work.
