Albert Camus (1913-1960) bénéficie d'une exceptionnelle renommée en France. Or un écrivain ne naît pas classique, mais le devient. Pourquoi donc Camus est-il devenu une gloire nationale telle que l'on songe pour lui au Panthéon ? Aujourd'hui, Camus est unanimement célébré. Non sans raisons. Homme intègre et courageux, Camus a écrit une œuvre humaniste, progressiste, sincère et clairvoyante. Seule ombre au tableau : tout ce qui touche à l'Algérie française, à la colonisation.
