Some reporters say that I am a better writer than a reporter. On the other hand, some writers are of the opinion that I am a better reporter than a writer. I do not know who is right. But what I do know is that when spring comes along and ice-breakers out their way through the ice bridge and free the St-Lawrence waters and the blue-winged teal sails north, I begin to wonder restlessly what is going on at Sorel and what news could be picked up there. The everlasting nostalgia of journalism is calling. It is commonly said that journalism leads you to everything provided you get out of it. The truth for me is: once a reporter, always a reporter.2
