p. 121
Texte intégral
1Louis-Antoine Caraccioli notes that the success of French style in the whole of Europe, be it in the field of fashion, furniture or hairdressing, has consequences in matters of identity and appearance for Europeans from other nations, but also an impact on France’s trade balance.
2Could one deny that there are truly Parisian German women, and that commerce is an efficient way of making Europeans French?
3Louis-Antoine Caraccioli,
Paris, the Model of Foreign Nations, or French Europe (1777).
