General recommendations. Eight great priorities

Priority recommendation n° 8

Bring vector control services out of isolation

Texto completo

1There must be an increase in communication and exchange of information and data between the services and partners and the query systems should be pooled between them and such interaction with the CNEV must also be extensive.

2There will be a strong drive to develop regional and international networks. There is a double aim: that of improving vector surveillance and the operational response capabilities (for example, by mutualizing ways and means during epidemics), but also that of encouraging training and operational research. Support for the foundation or development of regional centres (for the Indian Ocean, Caribbean, Europe), of expertise, for training and research linked in with the CNEV will also be sought, with an eye on the clarity and visibility of the national system that will have been established.

3Strong promotion campaigns will be carried out to strengthen exchanges between professional associations such as ADEGE and further the creation of interactive information sources (forums on dedicated Internet sites, virtual documentation centres) bearing on operational activities and the distribution of potential vectors.
