Peer review and editorial board
Peer review
Works are first submitted to the INED series editorial board, which meets four times a year. They examine the relevance of the work to one of the INED series and provide an initial assessment of its scholarship. If this assessment is positive, they suggest two reviewers, of whom at least one is an external expert in the appropriate field. The two reviewers agree to report back within three months on the quality, coherence, and innovativeness of the work and its place in the field. Their reviews examine the book’s plan, chapter structure, and homogeneity between chapters, scientific quality, and writing. In the light of these reviews, the reading committee decides what course of action to take and forwards a summary report to the authors.
The review procedure is a double-blind one.
