This site provides full open access to the books published by IFRA-Nigeria between 1995 and 2020. IFRA-Nigeria’s research covers ten African countries: Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Gambia, Niger, Chad and Burkina Faso. Over the past few years, the research orientation of IFRA has revolved around problems of democratic transition, urban violence, restructuring of educational systems in Africa, transborder studies, religious networks, urban management and the politics of violence. However, a large sample of disciplines has also been represented, ranging from history to musicology, economics, linguistics, archaeology, etc.
Since 2022, the books produced by the institute can be found under the Africae imprint, which brings together the works of the French research institutes of the Africa South of the Sahara unit: IFRA-Nairobi (East Africa), IFRA-Nigeria, SFDAS (Sudan), IFAS-Research (Southern Africa).
