Rules for the submission of manuscripts
- The languages of publication are Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.
- Each paper will open with an abstract in English and one in the language of publication (max. 350 words) and 4–6 keywords.
- The identification of the author(s) must be accompanied by institutional affiliation, email, ORCID, and Ciência Vitae.
- If applicable, the sponsoring or financing entities must be appropriately identified.
- The publication guidelines are the ones followed by Publicações do CIDEHUS.
- It is up to the author(s) to ensure that the credits of graphic elements or images that the text may contain are attributed.
- All books by Publicação do CIDEHUS must have: Creative Commons license, DOI or handle, ISBN, the CIDEHUS and University of Évora's logos, and the codes of the strategic project and sponsors of the publication. These elements will be guaranteed by the editorial team of Publicações do CIDEHUS.
- The submission of the manuscript must be made via email to cidehus_edicoes[at]uevora.pt and addressed to the director of the collection, who will then present the submission to the respective Editorial Board. The submission must be accompanied by:
- CV of the author or editor, email and telephone number;
- Justification of the scientific interest of the submission;
- Justification of the adequacy of the submission to CIDEHUS' strategic project.
- The following also apply for submissions to Biblioteca - Estudos & Colóquios:
- The submission can be by a single author or a collective volume by multiple;
- The submission should start with an abstract and a table of contents;
- Each chapter should be numbered and may contain subpoints;
- The bibliographic list must appear at the end of the work or at the end of each chapter and will be ordered alphabetically by surname;
- The conclusion of the work must identify the main thesis of the volume, and not just its summary.
- The following also apply for submissions to Fontes e Inventários:
- Each volume in this collection will be consisted by two parts:
- critical introductory study of the source or instrument of archival or librarianship description;
- the transcription of the source or description of the search tools.
- The bibliographic list must appear at the end of the introductory study, with the works ordered alphabetically;
- The table of contents and the list of possible abbreviations must be included before the critical study;
- The transcription standards must be included before the start of the transcription.
- Each volume in this collection will be consisted by two parts:
- Both the author of each paper and the editor of the collective volume will be responsible for unifying the citations within the text and the bibliographic references at the end of the book or chapter, respecting the collection's reference system.
