5Babanzâde Ahmed Naim [1873, Baghdad–1934, Istanbul]: writer, teacher and translator. Born into a prominent Kurdish family from Suleimaniyyah (Northern Iraq), Babanzâde completed his primary and secondary education in Baghdad, and then moved to Istanbul to study at the prestigious Galatasaray High School. In 1894, after graduating from the Mekteb-i Mülkiye-i Şahane (Imperial Civil Service School), he embarked on a bureaucratic career and started working at the Translation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
