1Une partie des éléments listés dans cette bibliographie n’a pas été mise à contribution directement dans ce travail. Notre projet initial était d’écrire cette étude en deux volets, l’un portant sur la naissance des frontières de l’Irak moderne, l’autre sur les malaises et différends territoriaux de cet État. Mais vu l’ampleur de la tâche nous avons, à regret, réduit la seconde partie projetée à un seul chapitre, le quatrième.

2Néanmoins, nous avons pris le parti de conserver, dans cette bibliographie, les ouvrages, articles et sources consultés, et sur lesquels nous nous serions basés en partie pour sa rédaction.
