Fichte. Analisi del § 13 della Wissenschaftslehre nova methodo

Tommaso Valentini

Résumé

The article proposes a descriptive reading of the concept of pure will in J.G. Fichte’s Wissenschaftslehre nova methodo (WLNM). According to Fichte the pure will is the origin of the human conscience as well as the transcendental condition of each cognitive mind act. This study analyses § 13 of WLNM, where the philosopher deduces the presence of the pure will - an intelligible and eternal reality - as the supreme condition of human knowledge and action. Furthermore, this paper describes how Fichte demonstrates that the human body is the condition for a manifestation (Erscheinung) of the pure will in the empirical and material world. Hence, the main thesis I argued is that Fichte grounds the transcendental philosophy as a «system of freedom» by deducing the concept of pure will.
