1The present study cites a number of opinion polls:

  • County-level representative poll, October 2000, CURS (Romanian Centre for Urban and Regional Sociology) – CURS 1. The size of the sample was 37,474; for Olt county n=851 and for Argeş county n=848.

  • National representative poll, November 2000, CURS and Romanian Academic Society – CURS 2.

  • National representative poll conducted by Metromedia in May 2001 for the Soros Foundation (BOP Programme) – Metromedia.
