Philosophie de la connaissance
Through the teachings of Jules Vuillemin (Chair in Philosophy of Knowledge, 1962-1992), Jacques Bouveresse (Chair in Philosophy of Language and Knowledge, 1995-2010) and now Claudine Tiercelin (Chair in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Knowledge, 2010-), the philosophy of knowledge has consolidated its presence at the Collège de France over the last fifty years. It developed along original lines by largely opening itself to German- and English-language philosophies as well as the analytical thinking style, and by drawing on a certain current of French rationalism.
The editorial site "La philosophie de la connaissance au Collège de France” [“The philosophy of knowledge at the Collège de France”] aims to make this tradition of thought visible and widely accessible.
